This site covers Warren Bayer's 1931 Ford Model A Phaeton.

The history of the Model A is well documented.  They were built from 1928 to 1931 and followed the Model T.  For a complete history, go to the "Model A Ford Club of America"(MAFCA), or www.mafca.com

For your convenience, here is the link to the North West Missouri Model A club;  www.nwmomodela.com

Warren's 1931 Deluxe Phaeton was one of 2,875 produced that year. A small number compared to the hundreds of thousands built.

This older complete restoration was done by an enthusiast in San Angelo, Texas.  The car was shown all over Texas for a number of years.

Warren's car was used as a model for an original painting by George Boutwell, a picture is shown on the next page.

The color is close to the original!

The Model A came out just before the stock market crash of October 1929.  Ford continued paying his employees their full salary which was $5 per day.

The Model A engine produced around 40 horse power.

The 20 millionth Ford was produced on April 14, 1931.  It would be interesting to see how close this car was to that vehicle in that WJB's car is also a 1931 model.  The rebuilt car toured the US several years ago and was shown at the Union Station in Kansas City.
